Ralph married Gwladys "Ddu" verch Llewellyn, daughter of Llywelyn the Great Prince of Gwynedd and Joan Princess of Gwynedd, in 1230. (Gwladys "Ddu" verch Llewellyn was born about 1206 in Caernarvonshire, Wales and died in 1251 in Windsor, Berkshire, England.)
