Spouses/Children:

Serena Healy

  • Born: 10 Oct 1850, <Canada West (Ontario), Canada>
  • Marriage (1): Dr. Albert Joseph Wallace after 1880
  • Died: 19 Jun 1882 at age 31
  • Buried: Drayton Cemetery, Drayton, Pembina, North Dakota, United States 1

  Research Notes:

She was probably the sister of Rev. James C. Healy, one of the original 12 settlers in Drayton, North Dakota. The names Serena Healy (20) and James Healy (17) appear in the same household in the 1871 Canada census.

If James C. was her brother, and if the father was Rev. Almon Healy, the 1880 U.S. Census entry for Almon's household in Drayton makes sense, if one believes that Serena's name was mis-transcribed as "Lerena," age 29.

  Death Notes:

Probably died in childbirth. Serena's tombstone reads "Serena and her Babe."

  Burial Notes:

Serena and her Babe.
