Text: Formerly of Ponsonby, died Jun 25, 1891, at 23 Bellevue Place, Toronto. Mrs. Wallace, whose maiden name was Margaret Metcalf, was born in Yorkshire, England, on the 20th of June 1826. In the year 1830, the Metcalf family emigrated to America, and after a short residence in Buffalo settle in the township of Nichol. There the subject of thie sketch grew up to young womanhood and on February 11th, 1847, was united in marriage to the late Mr. Hugh Wallace, of the township of Pilkington..... The funeral was on Monday, 27th June. The remains were borne to the residence of her brother Henry Metcalf, of this city, when a short religious serves was held, conducted by Rev. E.A. Shaw of Ponsonby, and then depostied by the side of her husband in the family plot in the Union Cemetery.

• Emigrated: from England with her family, 1830, Buffalo, New York. The Metcalf family resided in Buffalo for only a short time.

• Settled, Abt 1831, Nichol Twp, (Wellington), Upper Canada (Ontario), Canada.
