"Dr Walter Ross (1793-1832) was the son of Walter Ross, tacksman of Kincraig (parish of Roskeen), and Christian Wallace. "

If the above is correct, the following deduction would not be right. However, I find no daughter named Christian. Needs more research.

The children could either be from Elizabeth or her sister Janet, but John Ross's obituary states that his parents died young, so Elizabeth is the more likely candidate. It also states that he had sisters, so there must have been more than one.

• Occupation: Tacksman of Kincraig: Rosskeen, Ross-shire (Ross and Cromarty), Scotland.

Walter married Elizabeth Wallace, daughter of John Wallace [I] [of Bonar Bridge, Tain] and Janet Grant, on 11 Jan 1782 in Rosskeen, Ross-shire (Ross and Cromarty), Scotland.¹ (Elizabeth Wallace was born on 12 Nov 1760 and died on 1 Feb 1800 ⁴.)
