This Thomas was the first born son, and it is believed that he was named Anthony Thomas after his father. However, his name is inscribed "Thomas" on his mother's tomb. It is also believed that his 6th born brother was named Thomas Anthony Prater, but his brother is also stated as "Thomas" on their mother's tomb. We do know that the first "Thomas" died young and the second "Thomas" may have been named for him.
