  • Died: 20 Nov 1862, Canada West (Ontario), Canada at age 76
  • Buried: Memorial Hill Cemetery, Lunenburg, Osnabruck Twp, Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry, Ontario, Canada 3

Another name for Peter was Peter Shaeffer.

  Research Notes:

The name "P. Shaver" appears twice in a list of officers who served in the Dundas 2nd Regiment of the Militia of the Eastern District during the 19th century, on pages 277 and 278 of Lunenburgh, or the Old Eastern District, but they are clearly two different individuals. One of them may be this Peter Shaver, but I cannot yet determine whether he was either of these.

p. 277:
Dundas 2nd Regiment:
P. Shaver, Captain, 21 Jan 1822.

P. 278:
Dundas, 2nd Regiment:
P. Shaver, Ensign, 10 May 1837. 4
