Notes from a Pedigree Chart prepared by Donald W. Gold dated 25 Jul 1996:
"Anna, the sister of George, in 1727 had a pronounced religious experience under the preachings of Sussana Kuhnel and became a reader in a section of Saxony known as the 'Barony of the Rose.' The Moravian church sent out [immigrants] from [Herrnhut] as mentioned above. They had been granted concessions of land by the heirs of William Penn and they settled in eastern Pennsylvania near the present city of Bethlehem. The party arrived in May, 1749."

May have been born on 23 Apr 1722, as reported in the genealogy compiled by Donald W. Gold on 25 Jul 1996, using Genealogy of Family Prior to Generation of David Gold by Guy D. Gold and Transactions of the Moravian Historical Society, vols. V and VII.

Twenty-eight marriages took place on the same day and were refered to as "The Great Marriage" or "The Great Wedding." According to Donald W. Gold, "These couples were made up of the young unmarried people that come over on the ship 'Irene' which was sent over by the Moravian Church."
