Another name for Maren was Maren Sorensen.
Research Notes:
Marriage is speculative.
There is a baptism record for Maren Jorgensen, 12 November 1834 in Svenstrup, Åbenrå-Sonderborg, Denmark with father Jorgen Christensen Sorensen and mother Helena Nissen. The date and place appear to tie to Lauritz Jorgensen/Johnson, whose marriage record gives his father's name as "Jorgen Christensen Or Sorensen" with mother's name Helena.
A Maren Jorgensen, with father Jorgen Christensen was married to Vilhelm Sivert Jocob Casspersen in 1860 in Svenstrup. It is, of course, possible that there were several persons with similar names in the Åbenrå area around the same time, but I'm making a guess that Maren Jorgensen and Maren Sorensen are the same person. Both were born in 1837.
From Mark Johnson, 12 May 2012: "... there is a record that Vilhelm married a Maren Jorgensen (b 1837 - which does match the birth year) on 06May1860. If this is true, then Lauritz's sister (Maren) married Caroline's brother (Vilhelm). Do not know what I think of this - I do note that Vilhelm Jacob carries both of his parents name (Johann Jacob and Carolina Wilhelmine). And the locality is spot on as well."
Maren married Vilhelm Sivert Jacob Caspersen, son of Johann Jacob Caspersen and Carolina Wilhelmine Beck, on 6 May 1860 in Svenstrup, Åbenrå (Åbenrå-Sonderborg), Denmark.1 (Vilhelm Sivert Jacob Caspersen was born <1833>.)
