 Buried in the Coal Creek Cemetery off Highway 10 near Miami, Oklahoma. His obituary: Charles Don Kirk, 62, of Osage, Oklahoma, former Miami, Oklahoma, resident, died Thursday (August 3, 1995) at Tulsa Regional Medical Center after a long illness. Born April 5, 1933,at Miami. Raised in Miami. Had been an Army Career Veteran, serving from 1947-1970. He served in the Koren and Vietnam Conflicts. Lived in Miami from 1970-1981, when he moved to Osage in 1990. Was a graduate of Missouri Southern College in Joplin. He married Mattie Marsh on April 13, 1953 at Bennettsville, S.C. and she survives of the home. Additional survivors include a son, James A. Kirk, Broken Arrow; stepmother, Mrs. Ina Kirk, Miami; 3 sisters, Doris Shelton, Dian Mills and Rae Connor, all of Miami; a brother Dean, Kirk, Annandale, Va; 3 grandsons, and a great-grandaughter. Graveside service Monday, August 7;, 2 p.m., theWilliams Coal Creek Cemetery, west of Miami. Visitation Sunday, August 6, 3-4 p.m. at the Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home chapel, Miami.
