There is debate as to whether Mary is the daughter of Richard or Henry Keene. Richard's will clearly states that he leaves items to his niece, Mary, daughter of his deceased brother Henry and does not mention a daughter Mary.


Mary married Captain Thomas Clagett Jr., son of Captain Thomas Clagett and Mary Nutter Hooper, about 1695. (Captain Thomas Clagett Jr. was born in 1674 in St. Leonard's, Calvert, Maryland, (United States) and died in Mar 1733 in "Weston" near Upper Marlborough, Prince George's, Maryland, (United States).)
